Howick & St Heliers Judo Club

The Howick & St Heliers Judo Club was well represented on Sunday 25 September at the Judokwai tournament in Glenfield.

As usual, it was a well run tournament with all visting clubs made to feel welcome. All Howick club members fought well regardless of whether they were successful or not. The effort they are putting into their training looked like it was paying off.

For Laura Puiu it was her first tournament and she fought very well against more experienced opposition. Ben van Heerden also fought and was unlucky to come up against tough opposition. There were some very good fights, especially where Howick club members had to fight each other.

Overall, there were some very good results. Well done everyone, and congratulations to the following who finished up with medals.
